The Lights on The Lake fireworks are scheduled to start about 9:45 pm July 4th and are visible from all over town. Below are some options for viewing and celebrating:
M.S. Dixie Cruise: The view from the lake is probably the most spectacular. The M.S. Dixie II: South Shore’s Mississippi paddle wheeler offers a unique opportunity to view the light show from the water. Featuring live entertainment and fantastic views of the evening’s display. The Safari Rose: Enjoy a delicious catered dinner and unlimited beer, wine and champagne along with music and unbeatable views of the spectacular fireworks display, courtesy shuttle is included.
Nevada Beach: Located about two miles east of the Nevada casinos on Elk Point Road, Nevada Beach is the ideal setting for a family barbecue at the beach. A wide, sandy shoreline leads down to the sapphire waters of Lake Tahoe. Charcoal barbecues and picnic tables dot the beach. The view across the lake to the West Shore and Desolation Wilderness is unsurpassed. And the view of the fireworks display is one of the best in town.

The Tallac Historic Site: Off Emerald Bay Road, has an east-view perspective with nearby Baldwin Beach. For the more adventurous, the top of Mount Tallac offers a bird’s eye view of the fireworks extravaganza, but don’t forget your headlamp for the trek back down.
Edgewood-Tahoe: Watch the fireworks show front and center from the beach to the south of Edgewood Tahoe’s clubhouse.
Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach: Offering front row seating that fills up fast. Corner of Hwy 50 and Lakeview Ave.
Lakeside Beach is one of the most popular spots and fills up quickly.

Start celebrating Independence Day on July 3rd in Kings Beach. The 40th annual July 3rd Fireworks & Beach Party takes place at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area (KBSRA). This is one of the largest celebrations every year, the party will be at the North Tahoe Event Center from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 3rd. Festivities include entertainment, food vendors, music, a beer and wine garden, and fireworks at 9:30 pm. Kings Beach State Recreation Area (KBSRA) offers preferred seating tickets for this event. Parking is highly impacted on July 3 in Kings Beach; plan accordingly. You are encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transportation to the venue.

Incline Village Crystal Bay Fireworks
Fireworks at Incline Village is one of the favorite events of Lake Tahoe. Scenic Incline beaches are lined with spectators watching the fireworks that are launched from the barge. Sponsored by the Incline Village Crystal Bay Fireworks Coalition, the evening event is preceded by a day-long celebration. Downtown Tahoe City hosts one of America’s Best 4th of July Displays! Celebrate our country’s birthday at The 74th annual Independence Day celebration. The evening starts with DJ sets and vendors on the streets of Tahoe City. Take a blanket and a picnic to relax on the grass and watch fireworks.

Truckee hosts one of the largest 4th of July celebrations, parade, and fireworks in the region. Dazzling displays over Donner Lake can be seen the best from the West End Beach. Tickets for the show are sold by Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District. In addition to fireworks, it includes Summer Concert on the Green with performances by top tribute bands.
TIME: July 4th 9 am – 10:30 pm
LOCATION: West End Beach, Donner Lake
FEES: $6 for everyone age 1-adult. Tickets are not available online or at the gate. Please visit the Truckee Community Recreation Center at 8924 Donner Pass Road, Truckee with proof of residency or home ownership.
